Crochet a timeless baby blanket with rows of classic five-double-crochet shells and a pretty scalloped edge. The blanket is worked flat in one piece, so there are no squares to join. Once you learn the simple two-row repeat, the shell stitch is relaxing and easy to follow.

The PDF also includes a sizing chart for a lovey, stroller blanket, baby blanket, crib blanket, and throw. For alternate sizes, the starting chain is a multiple of 6, plus 2.

- Light weight (#3) cotton-blend yarn; about 1,630 m / 1,780 yd for the baby size
- 5 mm (H-8) crochet hook
